英国南安普敦大学医学院招聘研究人员 　 Research Fellow in Cancer Genetics £25,888 – £31,840 per annum School of Medicine The School of Medicine, at the University of Southampton, represents one of the leading research institutions in the south of England. Within the Medical School, the Cancer Genomics Group is a new research team with funding from Leukaemia Research and Cancer Research UK. As part of the Cancer Sciences Division, the group is positioned within a new, superbly-equipped building at Southampton General Hospital. You will carry out work on the genetic analysis of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, focusing on questions pertaining to drug-response, as well as leukemic initiation, progression and transformation. The approach will utilize genomic profiling technology to identify regions of the leukaemia genome targeted by copy number changes, with molecular cytogenetic and PCR-based confirmation. In addition, these observations will be taken forward with the analysis of gene and protein expression, and ultimately studies at the functional level. The position is funded by Cancer Research UK and is initially for two years, commencing from September 2008. You should have a PhD in molecular genetics, and experience in cancer genetics, molecular cytogenetics or molecular biology. You should be self-motivated, friendly and enthusiastic and ideally have some experience of cellular biology and a respectable publication record.
