　　Mark: Joe's been going around telling everybody that he's not good enough for our soccer team and should be dropped.
　　Justin: What! He's one of our best players.
　　Mark: I know. So what are we going to do about it?
　　Justin: I think we ought to ask the coach to have it out with Joe and find out what his problem is.
　　Mark: Good idea! Let's go now!
　　贾斯廷：安迪怎么了？
　　马可：乔四处跟人说，他没有资格做我们的足球队队员，应该开除。
　　贾斯廷：什么？安迪是我们最出色的球员之一。
　　马可：我知道。我们该怎么办呢？

　　和人家有芥蒂或问题未能解决，彼此明明白白讲清楚，英文叫做to have something out (with somebody)，例如：(1) I will have the whole matter out with him when we meet this afternoon（我们今天下午见面，我就会和他把整件事讲清楚）。(2) I would not put up any longer with all the noise his dog makes at night. I am going to have it out with him once and for all（他那只狗晚上吵得很，我已忍无可忍，得跟他彻底讲清楚）。Once and for all是成语，有‘一次了结’含义。He is not good enough for our soccer team那一句的not good enough，意思当然是‘不够好’。口头上，要表示不满意，可常用not good enough三字，例如：You've again "forgotten" to do your homework. That's just not good enough（你又‘忘了’做家庭作业，这很不好）。Not god enough固然不好，但good enough其实也不很好，只是‘差强人意’的意思。例如要称赞人家英文好，你可以说His English is excellent/very good；假如说His English is good enough，等于说‘他的英文还过得去’，但并不很好。所以有人说：Good enough is not good enough，换言之，‘过得去’是不够的，必须更加努力。请人家做事，也可用be good enough to…来说，例如：Would you be good enough to lend me $100?（借一百元给我好吗？）另一个说法是：Would you be so good as to lend me $100?(
