　　Applying for Scholarship

　　Dear Sir：

　　I understand from today's Gazette that the school will award scholarships to students whose final exam score is over ninety. From the school register， you will see that my record for the last final examination is 95. I think I am qualified for one portion of the scholarship. My family being poor， it is as much as my father can do to support me in school.

　　In this respect， I should like to refer you to Mr Tang， one of my classmates and neighbors.

　　The scholarship will obviously relieve my family of a heavy burden and be of great help to my future.
