I've got a ticket for the Bob Dylan concert.
Lennie: You're looking pleased with yourself. Have you been promoted?
Kevin: I f only. No, I've got a ticket for the Bob Dylan concert.
Lennie: Fantastic. You lucky thing! I tried to get one on the internet, but
  none was available.
Kevin: No, they were only on sale at the box office. And to get mine I had to line up all day.
Lennie: Still, I bet you think it was worth it.
Kevin: Absolutely, I haven't seen him perform live for at least ten years.
There was a long line at the box office(售票处前排了长龙)。 Admission to the exhibition is free, but by ticket only(展览会免费参观,但须凭券入场)。Ticket之后,常用介系词for或to。你可以说a ticket for/to the theatre/game/concert(电*/比赛/音乐会入场券)。引伸其义,a ticket to/out of是‘通往/走出…… To her, marriage means a ticket to upper class life/a ticket out of poverty(对她来说,结婚是通往上流社会之道/摆脱贫困之道)。
If only I had been promoted! (1) If only he had told me!(假如他当时告诉我就好了!)(2) If only I were rich!(假如我有钱就好了!)(3) If only she would agree!(假如她答应就好了!) If only he had told me, I could have helped him(假如他当时告诉我就好了,我可以帮他)。
