Will insurance cover me?
对话 Max: I'm off to the Alps next week to do some serious climbing.
Nick: That would be too dangerous for me. Have you got insurance?
Max: No, I hadn't thought about it.
Nick: Well I think you should. What if the airline loses your baggage or
someone steals your passport and money? Or what if you have an
accident and need medical attention?
Max: Will insurance cover me for things like that?
Nick: Of course, that's what it's for. You can check on the internet to see what travel insurance policies the different companies offer.
Will insurance cover me? ‘为某人保险’,可以说to cover somebody;保险针对的事故,则可用for或against带出,例如:This auto insurance covers you against/for theft of your car(这种汽车保险,保障汽车被偷窃的风险)。 Have you got third party cover/insurance for your passengers?(你有为乘客买第三责任险吗?)
留意What if the airline loses your baggage? (1) What if we buy him a bicycle for his birthday?(买辆脚踏车当作他的生日礼物怎么样?)(2) What if he did not keep his promise to help?(假如他不依约帮忙,怎么办?)
What if...? If it rains, the picnic will be canceled(假如下雨,野餐就会取消)。What if...? What if it rains/rained tomorrow?(假如明天下雨,那怎么办?)
